About this workshop:
In this fun and easy class, you will learn how to make a no-sew envelope style card or coin purse using re-purposed leather. You will also learn easy techniques to customise your purse to make it truly unique!
 
What we will cover:
In this class, you will learn the basic techniques on how to handle soft leather including:
  • Folding
  • Hole punching
  • Personalised embossed initials
  • Eyelets
  • Creating floral or geometric shapes
Nadia is the founder and creative director of Nadia Foti, a luxury women’s wear clothing label that is made in Melbourne. Nadia is passionate about sustainability and slow fashion. All of her pieces are made to order and use quality 'dead stock' fabrics sourced from designer and factory end rolls and leather offcuts from a furniture factory. Nadia is a lecturer at Box Hill Institute teaching 'Fashion Futures ', a class designated to educate and inspire the next generation of designers on sustainable practices within the fashion industry. 
She is also currently working on 'Wear, What, Why' a podcast she created as a platform to help educate and inspire listeners as to why we should care about what we wear.
