Stunning handforged cheese knives in various styles by Hobart Ironworks. Each handforged cheese knife made from upcycled stainless steel. The blade is shaped for easy cutting of your favourite cheese and has a hammered decorative handle. The knife is forged from a vintage stainless steel table knife, heated and hammered into a new form. The steel used is cutlery grade stainless, so the knife shouldn’t rust or stain with normal care.
The knife has been hand sharpened and is ready for use.
Each cheese knife is around 160-200mm or 6” - 8” long.
Owner Anthony Curtis is a trained artist, knife-maker and blacksmith specialising in kitchen and utility knives.
Inspired by old world techniques and aesthetics makes functional and beautiful works that evoke passed eras.
A key philosophy is the re-purposing of materials, using reclaimed high-carbon steel for all knife blades.
Hobart Ironworks cheese knives vary slightly in style, form and length, as is the nature of handmade objects. Each knife is entirely unique.
