We will provide: All sewing equipment including material, threads, scissors, pins and needles.
Gaye Naismith, founder and director of The Gaye Abandon School of Sewing and Upcycling has been an avid sewer for over 35 years. She possesses extensive knowledge of machine and hand stitching techniques, garment construction following sewing patterns, fitting and professional finishing.
Gaye loves sharing her sewing expertise with students of all ages and genders, both in groups and one-to-one. Along with teaching workshops and courses at the School of Sewing, she takes community sewing courses and regularly facilitates workshops for local councils and other organisations across Melbourne.
She holds an MA in Visual Culture and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and has a current Working with Children Check.
