ALCOHOL INKS | CREATING DRAMA AND FLOW

Learn to let go and have fun with alcohol inks, a creative medium that produces flowing, high-quality results. They are very different from other types of inks and paints and can be used in a variety of ways, on materials including plastic, glass and porcelain.

You'll begin this 2 hour workshop by experimenting with the inks on special waterproof 'paper', eventually using your learned techniques to decorate a small ceramic bowl to take home.

The workshop includes:

  • Guidance in techniques to use and create with alcohol inks
  • Demonstration of painting processes
  • A white bowl to paint
  • Special papers and materials to paint on
  • The use of alcohol inks and equipment in class
  • Your own unique creations to take home: a decorated bowl, a painting

YOUR TEACHER | BARBARA NIGLIO

She has developed a love for repurposing and all things sustainable. Unusual waste materials are often used in wearable art pieces and these have featured in her exhibitions. Teaching skills and encouraging creativity to class participants gives Barbara a deep satisfaction as she endeavours to pass on the creative vibe and sense of achievement and wellbeing that goes along with it.
