ALCOHOL INKS | CREATING DRAMA AND FLOW

Learn to let go and have fun with alcohol inks, a creative medium that produces flowing, high-quality results. They are very different from other types of inks and paints and can be used in a variety of ways, on materials including plastic, glass and porcelain.

You'll begin this 2 hour workshop by experimenting with the inks on special waterproof 'paper', eventually using your learned techniques to decorate a small ceramic bowl to take home.

The workshop includes:

  • Guidance in techniques to use and create with alcohol inks
  • Demonstration of painting processes
  • A white bowl to paint
  • Special papers and materials to paint on
  • The use of alcohol inks and equipment in class
  • Your own unique creations to take home: a decorated bowl, a painting
  • Private class for up to 16 people
  • Larger classes by negotiation

YOUR TEACHER | BARBARA NIGLIO

She has developed a love for repurposing and all things sustainable. Unusual waste materials are often used in wearable art pieces and these have featured in her exhibitions.
